HOLLYWOOD, FL ‒ As one of our new initiatives for 2024, we are excited to announce the establishment of a new Technology Committee within GAWDA and are actively seeking enthusiastic and knowledgeable committee volunteers to join this initiative. We need two co-chairs as well as 5-10 committee members to kick off the committee.
The primary objective of the Technology Committee is to drive innovation in the Gases and Welding industry. The committee will evaluate emerging technologies, and provide guidance on capabilities, limitations, security considerations and best practices to encourage the enhancement of our member’s technological capabilities. This committee will play a crucial role in helping provide actionable information that will be collected to build a members-only technology archive within GAWDA to ensure we remain at the forefront of industry trends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and explain new technologies that align with our members’ goals.
- Collaborate with a variety of subject matter experts to:
– provide insights and guidance on the implementation of technology solutions
– identify and address technology-related challenges
– keep members informed through articles, reports, and educational opportunities on industry trends and advancements
Who We Are Looking For:
We are seeking members with a passion for technology and a strong desire to contribute to the industry. Ideal candidates should have some expertise in areas such as software development, cybersecurity, data analytics, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies. Whether you are a seasoned professional or a rising star, we encourage you to apply.
